This Girl Will Be Okay

I watched the tear fall from her eye as if it was slow motion.

Her heart was heavy, soul was cold, spirit at the bottom of the ocean.

 

We gave her time,

We watched her cry.

She picked herself up and walked away.

And since that time, shes changed her mind.  She found new words to say.

 

She thought she could, she knew she would, but then life messed up her lot.

Fire in her soul, passion in her eyes, blazing, scortching, hot!

When the water fully drowned her face, I feared the flame had fled,

I would have guessed that passion was gone, stolen or dead.

 

But the sun did rise,

And in her eyes

I saw light of new day.

This girl is bright,

Her spirits right.

This girl will be okay.
